Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is essential, and experience with month-end close processes, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations is required. Familiarity with internal controls and compliance requirements is also desired.
The Senior Accountant will contribute to the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate accruals and balances. They will investigate and resolve anomalies and significant variances within the general ledger, collaborating cross-departmentally to understand all transactions affecting accounts. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will drive innovation and implement process improvements, internal controls, and system enhancements to support the company’s continued growth and compliance.
