Requirements

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • 5+ years' experience in accounting, preferably in SaaS or global organizations
  • Experience working in a fast-growing tech or start-up environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS 15, IAS 38, AASB 16
  • Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency environments
  • Experience in NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce, and ERP/billing systems
  • Analytical, proactive, and comfortable working across time zones in a hybrid team
  • Experience supporting or leading month-end close processes
  • Experience with global tax compliance and filings, especially US Sales Tax
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including journal preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for all technical accounting matters
  • Investigate variances in monthly financials
  • Identify trends and provide insights to support accurate revenue recognition
  • Support Finance Manager with month-end close, including month-end accruals, tax, and revenue-related journals
  • Develop, enforce, and continuously improve internal billing controls
  • Prepare and support tax filings globally for indirect tax obligations in Australia, United States, United Kingdom, and Canada
  • Assist with billing audits by testing billing workflows and controls
  • Identify discrepancies and support process improvement initiatives
  • Support external group audit by responding to queries and preparing key workpapers
  • Own A piece of Deputy via Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP)
