Requirements

  • Strong emphasis on inventory control and variance analysis expertise
  • Experience with plant accounting functions, including P&L, Manufacturing Statement, and Balance Sheet management
  • Proficiency in executing month-end, quarter-end, and annual close duties, including accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Knowledge of internal controls, general and sub-ledgers, and financial reporting
  • Ability to analyze variances, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions
  • Skills in inventory management, including physical counts, revaluations, slow-moving/obsolete reserves, and costing
  • Capability to prepare and distribute daily, monthly, and quarterly reports, including variance analysis and forecasting
  • Experience with budget preparation, capital expenditure analysis (AFE), fixed assets verification, and GRIR/VIM processes
  • Strong coordination and communication skills with plant staff, operations managers, and headquarters functions (Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and respond quickly to management requests

Responsibilities

  • Operate as the key financial accountant for assigned plant, controlling the balance sheet and P&L
  • Coordinate and communicate corporate objectives, guidelines, procedures, and policies to plant staff, ensuring compliance
  • Execute month-end, quarter-end, and annual close duties, including accruals, journal entries, and reviewing financial information for accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain general and supporting sub-ledgers; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations
  • Analyze monthly variances in balance sheet accounts and income/expense reports; identify issues, understand root causes, and drive corrective actions
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis and reporting packages for management teams
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, assist with periodic physical counts, post adjustments, perform month-end revaluations, establish reserves, and handle inventory costing
  • Investigate month-end inventory count variances, analyze inventory cost changes, and report on manufacturing variances from standards
  • Support inventory reporting and prepare/distribute daily, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Coordinate activities across locations and departments; manage deadlines and respond to management requests
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and assist with annual operating expense and capital budgets
  • Assist with AFE preparation, including payback calculations; review for compliance and accuracy; track through approval process
  • Ensure fixed asset accuracy, assist with periodic verifications, support disposals and transfers
  • Ensure goods receipts are accrued and matched with vendor invoices (GRIR and VIM processes); clear outstanding items timely and process vendor invoices
