Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, including accruals, month-end reporting, and variance analysis. Strong communication skills are necessary to present to leadership, and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for developing and presenting financial reports. A passion for improving consumer experiences and adaptability in collaboration are also essential. Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Business Administration, a Certified Public Accountant license, and proficiency in SQL or comparable programming languages, as well as experience with Essbase, Power BI, and SmartView.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements. They will conduct or assist in documenting accounting projects, analyze situations and data requiring in-depth evaluation, and prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions to ensure the integrity of accounting records. This role provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing budget variances, as well as preparing statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports. The Senior Accountant will also influence department strategy and make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components.
