Candidates should possess 2+ years of experience in a security engineering, SRE, or SOC role within a cloud services environment, demonstrating proficiency with SIEM tools and experience investigating security incidents. A basic understanding of AWS or GCP is required, along with experience utilizing IDS, case management systems, and related tools and practices, coupled with knowledge of Linux, RedHat, and network, VoIP, and web protocols. Basic knowledge of broad security topics such as encryption, application security, malware, ransomware, and experience with tools like Crowdstrike, Cloudflare, FirePower, Splunk, ELK, Imperva, Syslog, and packet capture is also necessary.
As a Security Operations Center Analyst at RingCentral, responsibilities include monitoring security events, analyzing and investigating alarms, maintaining day-to-day operational activities of a secure cloud environment, engaging teams to mitigate and resolve cases, maintaining relevant documentation and audit artifacts, identifying and tracking suspicious system activity, identifying trends and patterns, and presenting them to Security Engineers to enhance processes and systems. This role also participates in on-call rotations, focusing on implementing a comprehensive security monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence program for RingCentral’s global cloud service, corporate, and development environments.
