Responsibilities
Foster a safe and welcoming environment by providing excellent customer service to associates, tenants, visitors and the public
Communicate effectively with others in-person, via portable radio, intercom, phone, email, and instant message
Ensure the safety and security of the people and assets on campus by conducting frequent interior and exterior foot patrols, securing doors and locks and monitoring for suspicious or criminal activity
Monitor all technology systems including life safety, card access, security cameras, protective intelligence applications and elevator equipment by completing initial troubleshooting and identifying and reporting problems to ensure systems are working effectively
Respond to emergencies and incidents involving building operations, fire, security, medicals and weather. Summon fire, EMS and police response when needed and assist first responders as directed
Prepare clear and professional incident reports, forms, logs and conduct basic investigations as needed
Effectively and independently handle responsibilities consistent with documented policies and procedures
Actively participate in required and elective training, drills and exercises to ensure readiness
Rotate among foot patrol, staffing a security and reception desk, and operating a state-of-the-art security command center
