Requirements

Reside within the current recruitment area: Cumberland County, ME; York County, ME; Androscoggin County, ME
High School diploma or equivalency preferred
6 months experience preferred
Basic computer skills desirable, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work in both hot and cold temperatures
Ability to work both independently and under supervision
Positive work ethic
Excellent communication skills in English or English/Bilingual
Ability to interact respectfully with all Team Members, including Management personnel, and visitors
Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion
Provide government identification number (SSN) for application review
Select SMS text messaging during application process

Responsibilities

Physical security of the facility, including walking or stationary posts
Inspection and control of persons and vehicles entering or leaving the facility
Logging of truck traffic during ingress and egress
Writing reports and performing preliminary investigations
Switchboard operations, two-way radio communication, and intercom equipment
Ensuring team members present Tyson Badge/ID upon entry
Ensuring team members enter with clear backpacks (periodic checks for non-clear backpacks)
Ensuring proper footwear
Monitoring items brought into and out of the facility and enforcing Tyson policy
Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel
Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc
Writing investigative reports for accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents
Conducting rounds of the plant to check physical facility security
Logging truck traffic during ingress and egress and inspecting all motor vehicles driven into the plant
Other job duties as assigned by supervisor
