Requirements

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 1+ year of experience with a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Security Engineer or similar role focusing on security testing, container security, and SAST/DAST/SCA is required. Demonstrated experience with container security tools, image scanning, and vulnerability management, along with knowledge of security principles like CIS benchmarks and OWASP Top 10, is necessary. Experience with security tools such as Kali Linux, Burp, Checkmarx, Netsparker, Coverity, or Prisma is needed. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and explaining technical concepts. Relevant certifications like Docker Certified Security Specialist or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist are preferred. Experience with IAST and IRASP is also beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Security Engineer will develop or utilize third-party security test automation solutions for containers, Software Composition Analysis, and SAST/DAST. They will develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards for container development and deployment. Responsibilities include triaging and validating security vulnerabilities, communicating issues to application owners, providing remediation recommendations, and validating their resolution. The role involves participating in manual security testing of various applications, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and suggesting improvements in security design or implementation. Collaboration with development and operations teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate security processes is key. Additionally, the engineer will develop tools or scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline security automation.
