Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 2+ years of training/facilitation experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays (10 pm to 6 am with weekends off)
  • Experience in defensive tactics training/facilitation (highly preferred)
  • Background in security, military, or law enforcement (preferred)
  • Leadership experience in security, military, or law enforcement (highly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Instruct Security Officers courses on a variety of subjects in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with Property Security, Human Resources, and The MGM Resorts University to ensure progression through training courses and testing for completion
  • Assess training needs and implement training and learning opportunities at all levels of the organization
  • Conduct CPR instructor course based on American Heart Association requirements, and conduct Defensive Tactics Instructor Train the Trainer with strict adherence to MGMRI policy
  • Plan and manage class schedules, enrollments, training spaces, materials, and audio visual needs for training program
  • Perform classroom set-up and breakdown, material preparation, scheduling, inventory ordering, and resource allocations
  • Collaborate and maintain instructional guides and participant handouts for training program utilizing adult learning theories and curriculum design methods
  • Evaluate pre- and post-course data for measurement of learning quality, participation, satisfaction, performance, and business impact
  • Develop and recommend alternative training methods if needed
  • Manage deadlines and resources and work with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
