Chan Zuckerberg Biohub
Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline, such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field, and demonstrate a strong background in proteomics, mass spectrometry, and data analysis. Experience with instrument optimization and method development for high-resolution mass spectrometry is essential, along with familiarity with computational biology and bioinformatics tools.
The Scientist – Integrative Proteomics will be responsible for instrument optimization and method development for mass spectrometry-based proteomics experiments, focusing on increasingly sensitive and high-resolution measurements. They will contribute to the generation of large, multimodal molecular datasets, build automation infrastructure to scale efforts, and present research findings at national and international meetings, while substantially contributing to manuscript authorship.
Nonprofit research center for disease understanding
The Chan Zuckerberg Biohub focuses on biomedical research and technology development. It collaborates with top universities to study the basic mechanisms of diseases and create new diagnostic tools and therapies. The Biohub combines the expertise of engineers, data scientists, and researchers to tackle complex health challenges. Unlike many research institutions, it emphasizes a collaborative approach, pooling resources and knowledge from multiple prestigious universities. The goal of the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub is to advance scientific understanding and improve health outcomes through innovative research.
