Requirements

  • Educated to a bachelor's degree level in Microbiology
  • 2+ years’ relevant industry experience within a GMP laboratory
  • Experience in lab testing areas relevant to Microbiology
  • Experience in Bacterial Endotoxin test (LAL Gel Clot Test, Kinetic chromogenic, Kinetic turbidimetric, Alternative method (rFC and/or rRC)) is a plus
  • Experience in Microbial Limit Testing, Specified micro-organisms, sterility is an advantage
  • Experience in environmental monitoring
  • Ability to plan, schedule and carry out work for successful project completion
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame
  • Ability to complete all documentation with clear and accurate language according to SOP
  • Proficient in the operation of the computer and data acquisition programs
  • Ability to write reports with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of complex sample preparations
  • Independently perform microbiology analysis procedures of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations for method verification, stability testing and other studies for analytical testing support
  • Proficiently use analytical instrumentation
  • Calculate and analyze data and record data
  • Working mainly independently, interpret analytical data in regard to acceptability and consistency
  • Set up and maintain analytical instrumentation
  • Review and compilation of results
  • Perform work assignments accurately, timely and in a safe manner
  • Training on routine operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory procedures and guidelines
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
