  • Clear understanding of basics of cell biology, protein biology, and molecular biology
  • Experience in handling antibiotic-free suspension cell lines like Expi293 and ExpiCHO
  • Proficient in transfection for protein expression in these cell lines
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong statistical knowledge and familiarity with statistical software such as Prism
  • Meticulous experimental planning and execution skills
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and in scientific writing
  • Good teammate, ready to learn new techniques, and entrepreneurial thinker
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals (bonus)
  • Industry experience and scientific writing skills (bonus)
  • GLP, GMP, or other laboratory practices certification and EHS certification (advantage)

Responsibilities

  • Aseptic expansion and maintenance of mammalian cancer cell lines and primary cells
  • Accurate cryopreservation of cells
  • Maintaining and performing transfection in antibiotic-free suspension cell lines like Expi293 and ExpiCHO for protein expression
  • Daily monitoring of cell health
  • Keeping detailed records of cell culture parameters and results in data sheets and/or electronic notebooks
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Planning and completing experiments
  • Technical writing
