Requirements

Currently enrolled in a College/University degree program majoring in biology, chemistry, or scientific related field (rising junior/senior in 4-year program or enrolled in scientific graduate program)
Completed a minimum of 2 lab courses in a college or university setting
Ability to carry out routine tasks accurately, following strict methodology to carry out analysis, preparing samples and maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment
Ability to work effectively within a team to meet objectives under time constraints
Ability to take direction well and multi-task
Detail oriented and highly organized
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in the use of MS Excel and Word
Ability to work in an upright/stationary position for up to 8 hours/day, with repetitive hand movements, frequent mobility, crouching, stooping, bending, twisting, light/moderate lifting (up to 20 lbs), and use of computer software
Ability to communicate effectively, concentrate intensely, perform under stress, multi-task, and maintain regular attendance in a laboratory environment with exposure to biological fluids, irritants, and hazards (PPE required)

Prepare buffers

Adhere to safety requirements
Keep accurate inventory of supplies for assays
Responsible for accurate record keeping regarding assay details and reagents
Participate in the management of bioanalytical samples, including shipping samples to domestic or international destinations
Disposition samples as directed by client
Assist with data review and presentation
Organize samples for testing and prepare supplies
