Requirements

Candidates must possess an EdS degree (or equivalent) in school psychology from a NASP-approved program, hold a valid state license or certificate as a school psychologist with SEA endorsement, and preferably have a NCSP certification. A minimum of one year of full-time experience as an on-site school psychologist is required, excluding practicum and internship years, with preference given to remote experience. Expertise across all NASP domains of practice and experience providing direct psychological services within an MTSS framework are also necessary. Fluency in additional languages is a plus, and the ability to communicate effectively with children of diverse backgrounds is essential.

Responsibilities

The School Psychologist will deliver direct and indirect psychological services to students with IEPs, conduct psycho-educational evaluations of students’ academic, cognitive, social, and emotional functioning, develop and monitor IEP goals focused on social, emotional, and behavioral growth, serve as a vital member of multidisciplinary teams, and provide consultation with educators and families. They will also complete comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and utilize tele-health services on virtual meeting platforms, ensuring availability during traditional school hours and maintaining a private workspace with reliable technology.
