Requirements

  • Strong technical skills in SCADA controls automation, including PLC/HMI systems for water and wastewater treatment
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, project managers, engineers, and operations staff
  • Ability to work independently on small projects or collaboratively on larger multidisciplinary projects
  • Capability to understand and meet project requirements within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 80% (within driving distance in New England: MA, RI, CT), with occasional overnight travel for site visits, startups, meetings, and client interactions
  • Experience supporting medium to large SCADA implementation projects for municipal and industrial water/wastewater clients

Responsibilities

  • Participate in site investigations to gather information on client systems, equipment, and instruments; develop SCADA system architecture options, upgrade migration paths, and cost estimates
  • Support Project Managers in writing technical content for proposals and client communications
  • Design, review, and implement process control systems, including PLC/HMI upgrades, optimizations, and new developments for water/wastewater treatment plants
  • Assist in developing SCADA master plans for technology improvements
  • Provide support for client SCADA systems
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key clients; serve as a trusted advisor, keeping clients and project managers informed on status and identifying enhancement opportunities
  • Coordinate and provide technical oversight of subcontractors and vendors
  • Develop process logic for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used to monitor and control water/wastewater treatment systems
  • Design graphical screens representing process equipment and instrumentation
  • Collaborate with project teams from planning through completion to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget; participate in preconstruction, kick-off meetings, and project startups
