Requirements

  • Ability to use high-pressure hose
  • Ability to remove and replace machinery guards on lines and equipment as required for proper cleaning and sanitizing
  • Ability to use chemical solutions
  • Ability to climb to scrub high places and bend or squat to scrub low places
  • Ability to clean equipment, lines, machines, floors, ceilings, lighting fixtures, fans, take out trash, and other duties as assigned
  • Ability to obtain authorized LOTO (lockout tagout), fall protection, PIT (if needed) training, and confined space
  • Ability to be exposed to possible warm or cold temperatures, wet, humid, or dusty conditions
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis
  • Stand, sit, walk, climb ladder/stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the plant per USDA, HACCP, FDA, and FSQA pre-op regulations, policies, and protocols
  • Maintain good housekeeping including service areas
  • Follow and operate within all Tyson safety protocols
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by management
  • Complete all assigned work duties before the end of the shift while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures
