Candidates must have 3-6+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ (SteelBrick) and a strong understanding of CPQ concepts like product configuration, pricing models, discounting, and quoting. Proven experience with the Salesforce platform, including custom objects, workflows, Process Builder, and Flow, with basic knowledge of APEX and LWC is required. The ability to create complex CPQ rules such as Price Rules, Product Rules, Summary Variables, and Configuration Attributes is essential. Experience with integrated CLM tools (e.g., DocuSign, Conga, Ironclad), strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, and excellent communication skills are necessary. A Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, and Advanced Admin certifications, experience in Agile/Scrum environments, familiarity with B2B SaaS pricing models, and experience with multi-currency and multi-language Salesforce orgs.
The Salesforce CPQ Specialist will design, develop, configure, and maintain Salesforce CPQ solutions to support business processes including quoting, pricing, approvals, and product configurations. They will analyze existing CPQ processes and recommend improvements to enhance automation and efficiency. Responsibilities include building and managing CPQ product bundles, pricing rules, discount schedules, lookup tables, quote templates, and approval workflows. The specialist will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document solutions, and manage the end-to-end implementation lifecycle, ensuring data integrity and system reliability through test plans and regular audits. Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation, providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, and training to end-users are key duties. The role also involves collaborating with Salesforce developers and admins to integrate CPQ with other Salesforce clouds and third-party systems, and staying current with Salesforce CPQ best practices, updates, and releases.
