Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering/Management, Public Health, Environment, Biological/Educational Sciences, or associated degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in general industry regulations or equivalent in the entertainment industry
  • 2+ years’ experience with primary responsibility for inspection, investigation, hazard ID, basic regulatory compliance evaluation, and regulatory recordkeeping
  • Experience working with local authorities (e.g., fire marshals, electrical inspectors, safety compliance officers, environmental inspectors) preferred
  • OSHA 30 hr. in General Industry and/or Construction
  • Certifications in fall protection, rigging, electrical work, HAZWASTE preferred
  • Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably in entertainment or live events industry
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Smart Sheets, SharePoint
  • Strength in math, logistics, data sampling, and common-sense reasoning
  • Ability to apply OSHA, EPA, and local regulations and practices
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to sit 35%, walk 30%, stand 20%, lift up to 50lbs 10% of time
  • Willing to travel up to 35% domestically/internationally
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and present data to Sr. Leadership and explain complex data
  • Familiar with entertainment rigging principles, use, and inspection
  • Certified or ability to become certified in Fall Protection and rigging competencies
  • Ability to present information to varying levels of employees/staff (front line to executive)

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily EHS support to ensure employee safety and regulatory compliance across shows, events, and corporate sites
  • Assist with implementing EHS systems and work with Safety Management on all related matters
  • Provide leadership in safe management of hazardous waste (handling, storage, disposal, compliance with safety protocols)
  • Oversee permitting, inspections, documentation, and training for hazardous waste
  • Identify gaps, drive improvements, and stop work immediately when imminent hazards are identified
  • Understand key regulations, procedures, and standards relevant to touring shows, events, and corporate sites
  • Build relationships as a “trusted advisor” to influence line and middle management, promoting safety awareness and performance expectations
  • Support implementation, documentation, and maintenance of routine risk assessments, controls, and safety processes across sites
  • Assist in identifying and prioritizing EHS risks, recommend hazard controls
  • Help develop, review, and update safety procedures in collaboration with the safety team
  • Coordinate and document inspections using established reporting criteria, monitor control effectiveness, and provide feedback
  • Support investigation, analysis, and reporting of incidents and nonconformities to identify control failures and areas for improvement
  • Use direct reading equipment to measure and monitor the work environment
  • Track and report effectiveness of risk mitigation and EHS processes, identifying deficiencies
  • Support safety team with life safety inventories and inspections, ensuring timely completion and regular review
  • Provide compliance guidance to touring shows, events, and corporate sites per applicable regulations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
