Requirements

Candidates must have strong proficiency in Rust with at least 2 years of professional experience and familiarity with Bitcoin, blockchain protocols, or cryptographic systems. Responsibilities

The Rust-Simplicity Maintainer will be the primary steward of Blockstream’s Rust-based Simplicity implementation and associated libraries, including rust-simplicity, SimplicityHL, hal-simplicity, rust-elements, and elements-miniscript. This role involves architecture, implementation, review, and maintenance of these libraries, expanding Simplicity to cover new use-cases, and improving CI/QA processes. Responsibilities include providing code reviews, maintaining and improving CI pipelines, collaborating with other teams for ecosystem integration, engaging with the community by reviewing pull requests and managing issues, and maintaining developer-friendly documentation.
