Requirements

Candidates should possess experience 'wrenching,' such as being a mechanic or technician, and familiarity with torque specs, loctite, and mechanical feel. Experience with rapid fabrication, including 3D printing, soldering, and wiring, is preferred, particularly managing multiple 3D printers. Management experience, such as teaching others how to build things and delegating work, is also beneficial. Strong organizational skills, including generating documentation and managing inventory, are required. The ability to lift up to 50lbs is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Robot Manufacturing Technician will assist in building and maintaining robot systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software components. This role involves building computers from scratch, operating a 3D print farm, programming computers, performing QA and testing, generating documentation, teaching others how to build, managing the production schedule, and managing inventory/stock. The technician will implement checks to ensure robots are ready for deployment and will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the robot fleet.
