Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Earth Science, or a related field
Strong Python programming skills
Comfortable with collaborative coding workflows; specifically, git-managed repositories, pull requests, and cloud-based virtual machine environments
Experience working with remote sensing data, preferably microwave
Ability to approach problems methodically and solve complex data challenges with creative and effective solutions
Experience working with messy, complicated real-world data
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to a diverse audience
A strong interest in addressing climate change through the development of new technology

Responsibilities

Calibration & Validation: Quantify differences in inter-satellite calibrations and performance
Data Fusion: Explore the utility of combining GNSS-R data with other data types
Research & Applications: Adapt GNSS-R data products for use in natural hazards mapping and mitigation
Collaboration: Work closely with other scientists in and outside of Muon to advance GNSS-R techniques
