Requirements

Construction/Retail Fit Out experience with knowledge of European construction and shop fit industry, including Building Control requirements and general Italian legislation processes, to manage retail projects up to €5m
Strong Project Management experience with a leading International Retailer, with a track record in Retail Role Out programmes especially in Italian & Southern European markets
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects across group fascias, keeping them on budget, on time, to highest standards, adapting Cost Management to local markets, with focus on budgets and value engineering
Excellent communication & influencing skills, ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and departments via face-to-face, oral, and presentations
Numerate with strong attention to detail
Degree in Engineering or Architecture
Geographically mobile to support store network in Europe, with extensive travel and periods away from home in-country and abroad
Italian Native speaker and Fluent in English; any other European language advantageous
Base in Milan/Rome
Full European Driving Licence essential
Full European Passport allowing cross-border travel throughout Europe
Self-motivated with natural Leadership qualities to lead a small projects team by example
Technically competent with knowledge of various software programmes
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
Flexible during times of change

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end project cycle of new stores, re-fits, and extensions to highest standards, including coordinating team members and third-party contractors/consultants to deliver projects to plan
Develop, monitor, and control project budgets alongside Internal Quantity Surveyors, keeping the team updated
Ensure best practice and health & safety adherence at all times
Lead and support the wider Project Team with progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation, and presentations
Strive for excellence in JD processes within the Projects team, reviewing and developing improvements
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks, and devise contingency plans
Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, encouraging positive action and accountability
