Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus four years related mental health experience
  • Demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to excellence in care
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a mental health, health, or other appropriate human services related discipline (preferred)
  • Knowledge of and experience with the chronic mentally ill adult population (preferred)
  • Spanish proficiency (preferred, for additional $1.50/hour)

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, fostering a supportive and caring environment
  • Provide assistance and guidance to residents in daily living activities, including personal care, meal planning, and household chores
  • Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents
  • Facilitate group activities and therapeutic programs that promote skill development, socialization, and community integration
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of residents’ progress, incidents, and any significant observations
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including residential supervisor, nurse, director, and medical professionals
