Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and at least three years of experience as a Research Engineer, preferably in Software Engineering. A strong research background in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Software Engineering (SE) is required, along with experience working with generative AI technologies such as GPT-4 and BedRock. Familiarity with Python and R is also necessary.
The Research Engineer will conduct applied research in integrating AI/ML techniques with software engineering practices to improve code quality, testing, and software maintenance. They will design and implement experimental prototypes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, stay informed about advancements in AI/ML and software engineering, publish research findings, and participate in code reviews. Additionally, they will implement best practices from DevOps to maintain a readable codebase, testable infrastructure, and documented research artifacts.
