Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Review patient records to identify and interpret required data and accurately transcribe into electronic capture systems
  • Perform literature review as directed
  • Update research databases with pertinent patient information, including completed research procedures, pharmacy dispensing, and research staff workload
  • Assist research department with daily tasks to maintain a quality research program, such as preparing lab kits, processing and shipping specimens, entering patient data into computer systems, prepping for tumor boards, requesting anonymized imaging studies and uploading to central reviewer system, creating study checklists using study calendar of events, scanning research documents into electronic medical records, and making copies of paperwork for patient charts
  • Maintain computer appointment scheduling and follow department scheduling policies/parameters
  • Perform generalized clerical duties, including printing reports/protocols, making copies, handling incoming/outgoing faxes and phone calls, preparing research charts, filing, ordering supplies, sorting and distributing mail, and handling monitor/auditor requests
  • Work under general direction to perform professional level medical or scientific research assignments, focusing on entering patient data, scheduling daily activities, tracking specimens, retaining and organizing documentation, and data functions for staff
