Candidates should have at least 3 years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 1 year of Android development experience using the Android SDK or other frameworks. A background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics is preferred. Fluency in programming languages such as Golang, Rust, Java/Kotlin, or Python is required, along with familiarity with algorithms, data structures, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure. The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is necessary, as well as a passion for personal privacy and national security.
The Research and Development Engineer will build software to address customer mission needs while handing off prototypes to the core engineering team for long-term productization. Responsibilities include creating early prototypes that start with problem discovery and lead to solution delivery, working on the Android carrier app, telecommunications stack, and backend services. The role also involves building new or integrating with existing telecommunications infrastructure and components, as well as integrating with mobile devices to provide cellular service.
