Requirements

Minimum 2-year major market television news experience
Excellent editorial, writing, shooting, editing, and on-air presentation skills, including live reporting and ad lib expertise
College Diploma (required); Degree in Journalism or related field (preferred)
Flexible with working hours, including late nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays; adaptable to change and any shift
Background check clearance and clean driving record
Team player with exceptional work ethic, ability to work under deadline, multi-task, and prioritize assignments
Strong presence on social media
Respected, knowledgeable, ethical station representative with desire to serve the community and knack for cultivating contacts and exclusive story ideas

Responsibilities

Dig and enterprise breaking, hard-hitting, exclusive stories for multiple platforms as a general assignment reporter, focusing on local markets, race, and culture
Identify, develop, shoot, write, edit, produce, and report high-quality, high-impact stories
Utilize data, research tools, and experiment with new technology to tell stories
Develop stories and sources for general assignment and race/culture topics
Work any day, any shift, including weekends, as assigned
