Responsibilities

  • Lead Huntsman mechanical and electrical maintenance engineering resources
  • Assist with Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance related to mechanical integrity, engineering design, relief devices, process safety information, maintenance procedures, and document retention
  • Facilitate Reliability-Centered Maintenance studies to optimize preventative, on-condition, and failure finding tasks, and review critical spare parts
  • Conduct criticality assessments throughout the plant
  • Provide technical support to production and process engineering on maintenance and operation of mechanical equipment
  • Work with operators to maintain/operate equipment in excellent condition and serve as engineering resource for unit inspections and maintenance turnarounds
  • Serve as incident investigation team lead for reported incidents and lead root cause activities for stationary and rotating equipment failures, reporting findings to management
  • Act as liaison between Center of Excellence corporate engineering and the plant, serving as project lead and site contact for corporate reliability and mechanical integrity initiatives
  • Maintain a list of "bad actor" equipment and monitor health after improvements
  • Support capital project design and procurement from a RAMS2 (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety, Sustainability) standpoint
  • Assist in maintenance, modification, or improvement of equipment, including documentation and regulatory change management (MOC activities)
  • Act as contract coordinator for reliability-related services (e.g., mechanical seals, vibration analysis, oil analysis, engineering analysis)
  • Responsible for monthly equipment Key Performance Indicator reporting
  • Follow instructions and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Assist other employees in accomplishment of company goals
