Requirements

  • High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate
  • Working towards University degree or College diploma in an Engineering or trades program of study (Chemical program preferred)
  • 8-12 month commitment period
  • No previous Reliability Engineering experience required (any working experience in Engineering, Maintenance or Facilities in a Manufacturing company preferred)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well with limited supervision
  • Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality for work assigned
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with the English language

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and implement processes and procedures to establish a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) culture to improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Support adoption of new tools and methods to make the maintenance group more reliability-focused and proactive
  • Report on KPIs that represent the performance of maintenance systems and assets
  • Support work execution management elements, including MRO Spares, PM optimization, Bill of Materials, and CMMS Readiness
  • Implement maintenance optimization reviews of each asset's criticality, functional importance and duty cycle, and establish best-practice maintenance activities to detect early signs of functional failures
  • Develop the use of asset criticality matrix and spare parts criticality analysis ranking tools
  • Develop and maintain on-line database of all projects
  • Provide clerical support for project specifications
  • Support Lean 5S project initiatives
