Requirements

Good knowledge of complex electronic systems and the associated reliability issues (other engineering subject areas may be considered for candidates with the right strengths)
Ability to deliver Reliability Case Reports and supporting information (FMECA, reliability prediction, etc.)
Experience of more recent reliability prediction methodologies, such as FIDES (advantageous)
Fully appreciates that reliability is not just a number, with experience of reliability planning, analysis, and testing during development
Demonstrable knowledge of the relationship between the reliability life-cycle and the system engineering processes
Track record as an effective teammate with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary/multi-national team
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ideally degree qualified or equivalent
British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship (security clearance requirements)
Ability to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

Utilise reliability skills to influence the reliability aspects of technically sophisticated products
Understand the system and its operating context to mitigate reliability risks
Construct a convincing reliability case, balancing time and cost constraints
Apply pragmatism, ensuring reliability results from good engineering, not just numerical targets
Ensure customer satisfaction using a range of techniques and approaches for cost-effective evidence
Commit optimum effort to progressive reliability assurance, delivering a lean but effective reliability program
Contribute to internally funded research packages
Participate in undergraduate and graduate development programmes to shape next generation of reliability engineers
Engage in potential international work opportunities
