Requirements

5-8 years of well-rounded experience as a lawyer, with a distinct focus on financial regulation or regulatory affairs
Strong, substantive understanding of blockchain technology and the crypto industry
Qualified to practice law in the UAE
Excellent drafting and communication abilities, with a proven track record of conveying complex legal and technical concepts to non-legal audiences
Familiarity with financial products and relevant licensing and regulatory requirements
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, working both independently and as a collaborative team player

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on regulatory and policy issues related to the crypto industry and blockchain technology
Leverage knowledge to provide sound legal guidance and advice on tech-related financial regulation and crypto matters
Carefully draft and meticulously review legal documents and agreements, with a focus on tech-related corporate, litigation, and regulatory matters
Advise on ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing financial services, crypto, blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to offer legal guidance and advice on tech-related matters
Represent the company in negotiations and interactions with regulators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders on tech-related topics
Interact with regulators when necessary
Maintain awareness of legal and regulatory developments in the crypto industry and blockchain technology landscape
Proactively share insights and recommendations with the legal team and key stakeholders
