Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance within a traditional financial institution, legal or consulting firm, or a combination of these. Experience in or with FinTechs is a significant plus, along with familiarity with financial regulatory laws, rules, regulations, and industry best practices in Lithuania. Knowledge of requirements in the UK, Netherlands, UAE, or Israel is advantageous, as well as experience dealing with the Bank of Lithuania and the Financial Conduct Authority or Dutch National Bank. A proven record of driving results, strong writing and communication skills, superior attention to detail, strong organization and project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment are essential.

Responsibilities

The Regulatory Compliance Manager will execute the Regulatory Compliance 2nd line of defence function and maintain licensing obligations in Lithuania and throughout the EMEA region. Responsibilities include reporting obligations for maintaining Airwallex licenses, preparing notifications for reportable incidents, responding to license-related inquiries, assisting with compliance testing and assurance programs, identifying opportunities for improved regulatory adherence, managing escalations of compliance issues, conducting inspections for non-compliance, preparing internal handbooks, providing compliance advice, organizing training for employees, maintaining regional compliance policies, and conducting regulatory horizon scanning to adapt policies and processes.
