Requirements

  • 1 Year of experience within a gallery or institution
  • Experience within Registration, Collections Management, and/or Logistics is ideal
  • BA in Art History, Art Business or similar
  • Focused, reliable, exacting attention to detail
  • Must be able to work with team members at all levels
  • Detail oriented with experience in managing upwards
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and anticipate needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross departmentally
  • Passion for and knowledge of contemporary art
  • Availability for Tuesday-Saturday, 10am to 6pm, with occasional additional hours

Responsibilities

  • Assist with cataloging and processing all incoming artworks, including accurate entry of all pertinent data and uploading of associated images
  • Ensure artwork has been fully and accurately processed upon receipt
  • Field data requests from Sales, Registration and other departments
  • Manage and maintain database style guide
  • Perform regular on-site location checks
  • Assist registration with condition reporting as needed
  • Organize and upload condition reports
  • Oversee and execute long-term inventory projects
  • Assist with bi-weekly DZ Warehouse shuttle
  • Compile and organize all shipping-related paperwork (i.e. releases, bills of lading, etc.) on a monthly basis for filing
  • Prepare and assist with NYACAL forms as needed
  • Assist registration colleagues as needed
