Requirements

1 Year of experience within a gallery or institution
Experience within Registration, Collections Management, and/or Logistics is ideal
BA in Art History, Art Business or similar
Focused, reliable, exacting attention to detail
Must be able to work with team members at all levels
Detail oriented with experience in managing upwards
Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and anticipate needs
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross departmentally
Passion for and knowledge of contemporary art
Availability for Tuesday-Saturday, 10am to 6pm, with occasional additional hours

Responsibilities

Assist with cataloging and processing all incoming artworks, including accurate entry of all pertinent data and uploading of associated images
Ensure artwork has been fully and accurately processed upon receipt
Field data requests from Sales, Registration and other departments
Manage and maintain database style guide
Perform regular on-site location checks
Assist registration with condition reporting as needed
Organize and upload condition reports
Oversee and execute long-term inventory projects
Assist with bi-weekly DZ Warehouse shuttle
Compile and organize all shipping-related paperwork (i.e. releases, bills of lading, etc.) on a monthly basis for filing
Prepare and assist with NYACAL forms as needed
Assist registration colleagues as needed
