Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) designation with Diploma in Veterinary Technician/Technologist
Kind, compassionate, cheerful, and amiable disposition
Enthusiasm for convivial teamwork and collaborative work environment
Efficient oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Communicate in a compassionate and professional manner with clients and fellow veterinary care team members
Administer and analyze diagnostic tests (hematology, clinical chemistry, cytology, urinalysis, etc.) utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques
Assist Veterinarian with surgical and therapeutic procedures, ensuring operating room complies with aseptic standards and protocols
Administer and monitor anesthesia and analgesia in accordance with veterinary scope of practice and provincial laws
Provide excellent veterinary nursing care using veterinary theory, principles, concepts (including Fear Free techniques), within provincial regulations
Document and maintain accurate veterinary medical records following regulated procedures and standards
Operate and maintain state-of-the-art veterinary medical equipment per health and safety regulations
Execute and evaluate quality diagnostic images using theory, principles, and concepts
Perform dental procedures in compliance with professional standards, employing knowledge of dental structures, conditions, diseases
Maintain appropriate inventory of medical supplies per office procedures
Maintain and support a collaborative work environment and assist other staff members as required
