- Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Board of Nursing - active license in the state of practice upon hire
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients and families
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure excellent patient care
- Perform general nursing care to patients
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
- Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic
- Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing
- Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider
- Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure preferences for emergency situations; maintain timely patient flow
- Greet patients and prepare them for physical examination
- Screen patients for appropriate information, including health history, vitals, and nursing assessment; document in patient chart
- Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests
- Respond to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate physician input
- Educate patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and health/wellness maintenance
- Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints
- Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials; ensure cleanliness; prepare list of needed medical supplies
- Assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol
- Perform quality control and maintain records on all lab testing
