Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license in the state of practice. They should possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and be prepared to complete the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) requirements. Prior experience in hemodialysis or related renal care is preferred, along with a strong understanding of patient assessment and care planning.
The Registered Nurse - RN will be responsible for performing ongoing assessment and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis treatment, documenting findings, and making necessary adjustments to the treatment plan. They will also provide initial and ongoing education to patients and families, administer medications as prescribed, initiate or assist with emergency response measures, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Furthermore, the RN will be responsible for ensuring correct laboratory procedures are followed, identifying expected outcomes, and serving as a resource for the healthcare team.
