Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - active license in the state of practice (Upon Hire)
  • 1-3 years nursing experience
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
  • Ability to work the specified hours (Day Shift, Full time)

Responsibilities

  • Assist leadership to plan, organize, educate, and implement activities related to core operations
  • Assure workflow turnaround times are met, daily tracking of workflow, communication to the team, staff scheduling coordination, and special projects
  • Serve as a key liaison amongst the team
  • Coordinate projects and work with other departments to assure continuity of care, including leading specific survey or accreditation programs
  • Actively use the nursing process in goal-focused patient care, demonstrating accountability as an individual and team member
  • Synthesize information from a variety of sources to develop and implement an individualized collaborative plan of care and discharge plan
  • Assist the nursing care team in complex patient situations with appropriate plan of care, critical clinical thinking skills, and patient education
  • Document actions taken to address the plan of care
  • Identify and effectively communicate pertinent patient information to the health care team, patients, and families in a clear, concise, and timely manner for complete patient continuum of care, ensuring appropriate utilization of resources
  • Serve as a resource for staff and assist to ensure timely, continuous, collaborative assessments and preparation of patients and families for the next level of care
  • Assess patient and family learning needs, coordinate necessary teaching, and evaluate teaching outcomes
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and utilize safe and appropriate patient care protocols as set forth in standards of practice and unit/department policy and procedure manual
  • Report all operating process issues in a timely and accurate manner to leadership
