Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have valid and current Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Minimum 12th grade basic education completed
  • Minimum 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle up to 26,000 lbs
  • Must not have any DOT recordable accidents in the past three years
  • Must have a clean driver record
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination (DOT required)
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 25 lbs), pushing/pulling, twisting, standing, walking, bending at the waist, handling of material

Responsibilities

  • Drive regional routes, willing to stay out Sunday night/Monday morning to Friday morning/night when needed (home every night during summer season)
  • Operate commercial vehicles up to 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight
  • Complete required driving log on highly developed ELD system
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment
  • Secure loads and/or inspect loads to ensure proper securement
  • Perform duties consistent with all applicable safety, DOT, and Company rules and regulations
  • Maintain appropriate driving records, logs, and shipping documents as required
  • Verify shipping documents for accuracy and obtain customer’s signature on paperwork upon delivery
  • Complete training as required by management
