Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics or related
1-3 years of professional experience in supply and/or production planning, optimally in chemicals
Commercial exposure with proven track record in supply planning / production planning
Fluent in English and Spanish
Willing to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the office in AFZ, Heredia (additional office days may be required)
Unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica

Responsibilities

Ensure supply plans support global demand plans with minimum inventory required for the market’s portfolio
Communicate supply needs to operations to execute demand plan
Anticipate and proactively inform demand planners when supply cannot meet demand
Responsible for inventory value at end of month and support inventory forecasting for coming months
Own the global supply plan for the market’s portfolio and ensure on-time supply to meet customer demands
Align manufacturing and warehousing by creating a supply network plan for clarity and alignment across supply functions
Ensure efficient inventory distribution along the global network, in agreement with the regional demand planner
Highlight supply shortfalls to demand planner and provide alternatives
Manage different sources of supply (manufacturing sites, procurement) and keep supply plan accurate and updated on a 24-month horizon
Own inventory of market’s portfolio across the global network
Ensure inventory is used in the most profitable way for the company
Highlight opportunities to use inventory more profitably than agreed demand plan
Regularly check slow-moving items and propose mitigation action plans
Provide 24-month inventory projections for market’s portfolio across global network
Ensure blocked stock is treated rapidly (dump, rework, sell back)
Support Customer Service Back Office on return process and advise best solutions for returned goods
