Requirements

Top-tier EHS professional with expertise in safety and environmental skills
Ability to serve as subject-matter technical expert for EHS compliance and program execution
Knowledge of EHS domains including combustible dust, machine safety, biosafety, ergonomics, air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous and regulated waste
Expertise in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), Process Safety Management, Flammable Liquids Safety & Compliance, Combustible Dust programs, Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) programs
Familiarity with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards, Industrial Hygiene, management of change (MOC) processes
Willingness to be located at Neogen Pinda, Brazil, and support multiple locations across Brazil and Mexico (Manufacturing, Distribution, R&D, Laboratory operations)
Ability to collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Facilities & Engineering, operational stakeholders, site senior leadership, and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic EHS and Risk Control plan for Neogen LATAM
Own and provide oversight and governance of multi-site level EHS programs, including Safety and environmental domains (e.g., combustible dust, machine safety, biosafety, ergonomics, air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous and regulated waste, and related compliance)
Act as a strategic partner to the EHS Governance function, integrating EHS considerations into lab operations, manufacturing processes, and high-risk activities
Serve as a trusted EHS advisor to site senior leadership and cross-functional teams, providing guidance on complex risk management and regulatory compliance matters
Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs teams for environmental efforts in Brazil, and lead other LATAM sites E-programs
Collaborate with Facilities & Engineering during capital projects, and manufacturing operations to integrate EHS into site operations and project planning
Lead the development and deployment of innovative EHS solutions, leveraging data analytics to identify trends and drive data-informed decision-making
Oversee the management of change (MOC) process for operational and infrastructure changes, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards
Develop and maintain site-specific environmental management plans, ensuring timely reporting, permitting, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
Lead investigations into complex environmental and safety incidents, utilizing root cause analysis methodologies to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
Implement global EHS standards ensuring compliance excellence across LATAM operations; identify Industrial Hygiene needs and solutions while working with EHS Governance teams
Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned programs and ensure alignment with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards
Implement and audit Neogen Global Process Safety, Flammable Liquids Safety & Compliance, and Combustible Dust programs
Implement and audit Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) programs
Simplify, Standardize and Sustain all EHS solutions across the region by collaborating with operational stakeholders and other OneEHS team members
