Requirements

1 year of refrigeration experience (anhydrous ammonia) required, RETA 1 license preferred but not required
Must have Process Safety Management (PSM) experience
Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance, including Pneumatics, PLCs, Motor controls, and shop equipment operation desired
Understanding of boiler theory, RETA Operator I, and IIAR Basic NH3 Refrigeration schematics required
Must be able to pass a HAZ-Mat physical and pass the training to be certified as an Emergency Responder Technician Level
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally
Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop
Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling
Frequent overhead work
Ability to work in temperatures from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees inside the plant; outside work required
Basic math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements

Responsibilities

Performing and consulting on robust preventative maintenance and refrigeration repairs
Expertly performing emergency mechanical or electrical repairs and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, pump, pressure, and hydraulic plant equipment
Provide maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of ammonia refrigeration systems, HCFC systems, hot water, compressed air, and steam systems
Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment
Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals
Assist and support the training and development of more junior Refrigeration Technicians
Participate on the Emergency Response Team
Responsible for minimizing downtime due to equipment and system failure
Other duties as assigned
