Requirements
- 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician
- TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications
- EPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) & EPA 609 Certifications
- Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to travel and attend training provided by US Foods
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs
- Independent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals
- Must furnish own personal hand tools
- Ability to perform physical demands: continuously stand/walk; frequently drive/sit/lift/carry/push/pull/climb/balance/stoop/squat/kneel/bend/reach/twist/grasp/manipulate/manually dexterous; occasionally lift/carry over 100 lbs
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards
- Mentor other maintenance shop personnel
- Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action
- Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines
- Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications
- Other duties as assigned by manager
