Requirements

  • Ability to execute repetitive and routine inspections, visual checks, and functional tests using sampling procedures and tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and inspection jigs
  • Knowledge of inspection plans, drawings/blueprints/specifications to ensure compliance of inbound material dimensions and critical characteristics
  • Ability to accurately record inspection data and applicable documentation
  • Up-to-date certifications and training requirements for the role
  • Availability to work 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm)

Responsibilities

  • Verify quality of inbound material per documented quality standards, Plexus, and customer requirements during Incoming Inspection
  • Inspect outbound material transferred inter-site or to customers to identify non-conforming parts and prevent defective product flow
  • Work closely with Supplier Quality Technicians and Engineers to ensure compliance with parts specifications and critical characteristics
  • Identify, segregate non-conformance/discrepant material and support purges and internal screening activities
  • Communicate with Buyers and Supplier Quality Engineers on quality and/or documentation issues, keep supervisors informed, and escalate when needed
