  • Stay current on all certifications, training requirements, processes, procedures, standards, policies for the role
  • Physical stamina for electro-mechanical manufacturing environment (standing, sitting majority of time, lifting packages, moving material)

Responsibilities

  • Execute repetitive and routine inspections, visual checks, and functional tests on inbound material using sampling procedures, inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, inspection jigs), and per Inspection Plan to verify compliance with drawings/blueprints/specifications
  • Accurately record inspection data and applicable documentation
  • Work closely with Supplier Quality Technicians and Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure inspections comply with parts specifications and critical characteristics
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming/discrepant material; support purges and internal screening activities
  • Communicate with Buyers and Supplier Quality Engineers on quality and/or documentation issues; keep supervisors informed and escalate issues as needed
  • Verify quality of outbound material transferred inter-site or to customers per Plexus and customer requirements
  • Stay up-to-date on certifications and training requirements for the role
