Requirements

Candidates must be proficient in using AppFolio and QuickBooks with prior experience, possess 2+ years of experience in real estate, property management, or administrative support, demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work independently while handling multiple tasks efficiently, along with being detail-oriented, organized, and reliable. Experience handling tenant inquiries and managing rental properties is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Real Estate Secretary will communicate with tenants regarding lease agreements, rent payments, maintenance requests, and general inquiries, manage and update tenant records, lease agreements, and payment schedules in AppFolio, handle rent collection, late fees, and financial transactions using QuickBooks and AppFolio, assist in processing tenant applications, lease renewals, and move-in/move-out procedures, coordinate maintenance and repair requests with vendors and property owners, generate and review financial reports, invoices, and expense tracking, respond to emails, phone calls, and messages professionally and in a timely manner, maintain organized records of all property management activities, assist in marketing available rental units and scheduling property viewings, and support property managers with administrative tasks as needed.
