Responsibilities

Supports FMCNA’s mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy; adheres to Compliance Program, regulatory, and policy requirements
Assists physicians in performing all types of interventional radiology procedures
Operates and performs quality control on radiological equipment per FMC policies, procedures, and training
Assists with inventory and ordering of supplies
Prepares patient and procedure room for radiology procedures in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
Reviews patient-specific procedure orders to determine needed materials/supplies
Sets up/stocks procedure room and trays with supplies and equipment; cleans room and equipment post-procedure
Conducts necessary preparations of patient and procedure room; documents appropriately
Explains procedure to patient, answers questions, addresses concerns
Prepares patient for procedure (positioning, shaving, prepping); performs patient transfers and transports
Inputs patient data into C-Arm
Acts as scrub assistant during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy, maintaining sterile technique per policies and regulations
Complies with HIPAA policies for patient confidentiality
Draws up and labels intravenous medication per Medication Labeling Policy
Processes x-ray images and archives to CD/DVD per policies and regulations
Provides outstanding patient care, supports FMCNA quality standards, meets regulatory requirements, practices Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
Assists with implementing quality goals and action plans
Ensures medical records are accurate, complete, and compliant; maintains integrity, files paperwork, performs audits
Maintains environmental integrity and aesthetics; ensures areas are clean, sanitary, and safe
Inspects equipment daily before/after procedures to ensure proper working condition; makes recommendations for replacements
