Requirements

  • Associate's or certificate of completion from an accredited School of Radiology
  • ARRT Certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 Days
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
  • Ability to work four 9-hour shifts each week, Monday through Friday, typically 7:00/7:30a to 5:00p (may vary)

Responsibilities

  • Performs various radiology procedures that produce examinations of premium diagnostic quality according to policy and procedure on a daily basis
  • Performs all aspects of patient care during the performance of radiology procedures
  • Maintains inventory and stock supplies as necessary
  • Performs all routine maintenance and cleaning according to procedure; performs equipment repair when necessary
  • Assumes responsibility for any department to physician communication as needed
  • Performs all quality control and quality assurance procedures for radiology as outlined by the state of operation, FDA, and JCAHO
  • Pushes and/or requests CD of images to be sent to outside facilities for comparison; assures that reports are sent to outside providers who request images
  • Assists with processing of reports and images and other necessary office maintenance duties
  • Completes all appropriate paperwork
