Requirements

10–15+ years in engineering, R&D, or technology leadership within robotics or mechatronics-intensive industrial environments
Deep expertise in robotics, autonomous systems, and mechatronics integration, with demonstrated success defining and executing platform strategies
Strong systems engineering and software architecture background, capable of aligning technology with market and business strategy
Proven track record in modular, scalable robotics architectures and cross-functional system-level leadership (mechanical, electrical, control, perception, AI)
Experience in technology governance, lifecycle management, CI/CD adoption, and building high-performing, cross-disciplinary R&D teams
Skilled in partnering with external stakeholders—suppliers, integrators, research organizations

Responsibilities

Define and drive a cohesive technology roadmap across mechanical, electrical, control, sensor, computing, and power domains
Lead modular architecture strategies in collaboration with System Architecture, ensuring reusable subsystems across product lines and ODDs
Scout and integrate emerging innovations (AI perception, actuation, energy systems) while ensuring safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance
Establish strategic partnerships with tech providers, integrators, research institutions, and startups to co-develop core technologies
Enforce architecture discipline operationally (e.g., ROS 2, interface standards, modular upgrades) to maintain fleet reliability
Oversee lifecycle strategies including secure updates, simulation-based validation, CI/CD pipelines, and hardware-in-the-loop testing
Manage resource allocation and deliver technology roadmap updates, tracking milestones, risks, and budget usage
Guide enterprise systems integration, enforcing secure firmware, safety-first mechanisms, and alignment with approval processes
Cultivate a culture of modularity, engineering rigor, continuous improvement, safety, and security across the team
