Requirements

  • Must live in the Kansas City metro area
  • Able to work without visa sponsorship now and in the future
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related field (Juniors and above preferred, 2+ years of degree experience)
  • Programming: Python, SQL
  • Additional languages (preferred): C#/.NET, Java, or C++
  • Databases: SQL Server, relational DBs (bonus: NoSQL, MongoDB)
  • Tools: Databricks, Spark, Git, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Frontend (preferred): HTML, CSS/Sass, React, Typescript
  • Ability to write performant SQL queries on complex data models
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (C# .NET preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug applications
  • Understanding of basic machine learning (binary classification, NLP)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs); Prior internship experience in data engineering, analytics, or data science

  • Role-specific: Performance Testing Engineer – Ensure performance of software/data applications (UI/UX, API, data)
  • Role-specific: Automation Engineer – Add automation testing code coverage (UI/UX, API, data validation)
  • Role-specific: Data Engineer Intern – Run daily operations of data infrastructure, automate/optimize data ingestion pipelines, ensure monitoring/troubleshooting
  • Role-specific: SQL Data Analyst Intern – Apply analytical frameworks to identify root causes, recognize trends, recommend data-informed solutions
  • Role-specific: Software Engineering Intern – Contribute to full software development lifecycle (planning, designing, implementation, testing, deploying)
  • Role-specific: Data Scientist Intern – Develop specialty mapping tool using NLP and LLMs on raw QDP ingestion data
  • Role-specific: Data Analyst Intern – Develop regulatory-focused view of Provider Claims Insights using QES/claims data and define metrics
