Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
  • Demonstrated research experience in quantum information science including the development and analysis of fault tolerance protocols, analysis of algorithms, and various applications of quantum information theory
  • In-depth understanding of multiple aspects of quantum information theory
  • Coursework or experience in theoretical computer science, mathematics, and information theory, including the development and analysis of algorithms
  • Experience with development, analysis, and high-performance implementation of algorithms
  • Knowledge of discrete mathematics, numerical analysis, and scientific computing techniques
  • Experience with high-performance scientific computing in Python and/or C++11
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment
  • Ability to spend long periods of time at a computer monitor and ability to travel
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearances
